Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the TimeToBuild software and the website at timetobuild.app. TimeToBuild is a product of DeskB Ltd, a company registered in Hong Kong with its registered office at Unit G, 15/F, TAL Building, 49 Austin Road, Yau Tsim Mong, Kowloon, Hong Kong ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using TimeToBuild, you agree to these terms.

1. What TimeToBuild is

TimeToBuild is a native macOS menubar app for working with Linear issues: a global modal, a quick launcher, AI-assisted issue creation, a smart inbox, and AI activity summaries. It connects to your own Linear workspace, and its AI features use the AI provider you choose with your own API keys or account.

2. Licence

When you purchase a subscription, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use TimeToBuild on up to 3 Macs, for as long as your subscription is active. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense the software, and you may not remove or circumvent the licensing mechanism. New installs start with a 14-day free trial of the full app.

3. Plans, billing & payments

TimeToBuild is sold as a monthly or annual subscription. DeskB Ltd is the provider and seller of the software. Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Any applicable VAT or sales tax is calculated and shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or annual period until you cancel, and you'll receive a receipt for each payment. We never see or store your full card details. You can cancel a subscription at any time; see our Refund Policy for details.

AI usage is billed separately and directly by the AI provider you connect (for example Anthropic or OpenAI). Those costs are not part of your TimeToBuild subscription and are not charged or controlled by us.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use TimeToBuild for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any third party's rights;
• copy, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the software;
• reverse engineer the software except to the extent permitted by applicable law;
• disable, bypass, or tamper with licensing or security features.

5. Third-party services

TimeToBuild works alongside services you control, including Linear and your chosen AI provider. You are responsible for your accounts and API keys with those services and for complying with their terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of those third-party services.

TimeToBuild is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Linear, Apple, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any AI model provider. AI features require customer-supplied credentials.

6. AI output and human review

TimeToBuild's AI features produce suggestions: inferred issue fields, activity summaries, and image descriptions. AI can be inaccurate or incomplete. The app always shows inferred fields for review before an issue is created, and you are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before acting on it.

7. Availability and changes

The software is provided on an ongoing basis and we may release updates, change features, or discontinue parts of the service over time. We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated to active customers.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

TimeToBuild is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of TimeToBuild. Our total liability for any claim relating to the software is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

10. Termination

You may stop using TimeToBuild and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate a licence that breaches these terms. On termination, the licence ends and you must stop using the software.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
