Install TimeToBuild

Download the DMG, install the app, and find it in your menubar. Requires macOS 14 or later.

TimeToBuild is a native macOS app distributed as a DMG. It runs on macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Installation

  1. 1

    Download the app

Grab the latest DMG from the download button on the homepage. The download is the full app; the 14-day trial starts when you first open it.

  2. 2

Open the DMG and drag to Applications

Double-click the downloaded file and drag TimeToBuild into your Applications folder, then eject the disk image.

  3. 3

    Launch it

Open TimeToBuild from Applications or Spotlight. The app lives in your menubar: look for the TimeToBuild glyph near the clock. There is no Dock icon to hunt for.

First launch

On first launch the app asks you to connect your Linear workspace. That flow is covered in Connect Linear. Once connected, click the menubar icon to open the popover, or press ⌘⇧L from any app to summon the modal.

Updating

The app checks for updates and installs them in place; each release is listed on the changelog. Your settings and Linear connection survive updates.
