Build log
What's new in
TimeToBuild
Every feature and fix, newest first. The app updates itself; you just keep building.
- Latest
Hardening pass
- AI prompts are hardened against prompt injection from Linear issue content.
- AI-inferred team ids now fail closed: an unrecognized team can never be assigned silently.
- Refreshed model catalogs for every AI provider.
- Fixed the menubar popover re-opening when closed from its own button.
Persistent drafts
- Issue drafts survive closing the popover or modal; pick up where you left off.
- Markdown shorthand formatting in issue descriptions.
Summaries that follow the work
- AI activity summaries now track the latest update: a status change or new comment regenerates the summary.
- Background summaries use a cheaper model automatically, with per-provider rate limits.
Quick launcher
- New ⌘K launcher with inline filters for My Issues, Unassigned, and Inbox.
- Fuzzy search across issues with keyboard-only navigation.
- Create an issue straight from the launcher.
Notifications and detailed summaries
- Native macOS notifications for inbox activity.
- Detailed AI summaries for inbox items: a one-line digest plus pending action items.
Smart inbox
- A unified inbox for Linear notifications with three-tier read tracking: unread, partially read, fully read.
- Read state syncs across sections, and recently active issues surface automatically.
- Right-click to hide an issue from the inbox.
The global modal
- Press ⌘⇧L in any app to summon your issues in a floating modal window.
- Image paste in issue creation: attach up to 5 images, described by AI vision and uploaded to Linear.
Focus mode and native OAuth
- Focus mode reorganizes your list into In Progress, In Review, Up Next, and Everything Else.
- Linear sign-in rebuilt as a native OAuth flow.
- Interactive label and assignee dropdowns on issue rows.
First build
- TimeToBuild is born: a macOS menubar popover listing your Linear issues, sorted by status then priority.
